WELCOME TO THE FAMILY: SOCIAL DISSONANCE SIGNS TO ANGRY TOOTH RECORDS
Catch their inaugural label set live at Vinyl Beauty Bar on Friday, October 30, 2026.
The secret’s out! We’re incredibly proud to welcome Austin punk rockers Social Dissonance to the Angry Tooth Records roster.
“Social Dissonance has been on my radar since their debut a few years back,” said G. Hayes-McCloskey, Owner of Angry Tooth Records and frontwoman for BÖNDBREAKR. “Their politically charged lyrics and outspoken stance on social issues affecting our local community and the broader United States have always resonated with me.”
“I've always considered them a very strong band, but when they played the CreateLadyJ's Juneteenth event on her AggroNation Tour stop in Austin this year, their energy was further charged by heavier tones and a captivating stage presence. It was immediately clear they'd become a band to watch, and I wanted Angry Tooth Records to support them however we could.”
“They've done an amazing job moving the band forward under the leadership of their lead guitarist, Cyrus Gellar, and I think we have formed a solid partnership to springboard their reach in 2027 and beyond.”
What’s next?
This isn't just a signing; it's the start of a lot of hard work. Angry Tooth Records is stepping in to support album production for their upcoming material, and we'll work closely with them on local and regional booking for 2027 and 2028.
Live at Vinyl Beauty Bar
To kick things off, Social Dissonance is taking over Vinyl Beauty Bar right here in Austin on Friday, October 30.
It’ll be a massive night for our community: the show is an official double-album release party for our friends Frogmouth and Microscopic Telescope. Social Dissonance is bringing their heavy tones to this stellar bill and celebrating the new label partnership.
